Bristol band Sapphire Blues want you to know one thing: they are not a blues band. And, if any seed of doubt remained, their latest single “Ourselves Forgotten” squashes it.
2019 was a big year for the band. Emerging from cramped recording spaces, they went on to sell out local venues and support acts such as Talk Show, Lumer, and Deadletter.
Mainstream coverage and praise followed from the likes of So Young Magazine, establishing the band as one of Bristol’s most promising post-punk newcomers.
With that encouragement, they released “Good Morning Britain” and followed it up earlier this year with “119”. Now, they’re back with “Ourselves Forgotten”, a track you need to hear.
Fans of fellow Bristolian’s IDLES, Portishead and Massive Attack, as well as Egyptian Blue and Shame, will love the sound of Sapphire Blues, so check them out today.
“Ourselves Forgotten” is out now on Spotify along with Sapphire Blues other singles, including “Good Morning Britain” and “119”.
Also, keep up with the guys on Instagram and Facebook.
