‘ye’ is the latest release from Kanye West. I didn’t have much interest in his last two records but I do like this one. Sure, it’s still West calling himself a “superhero” but he also discusses drugs and his mental health issues. All to the sound of his often brash, often rough beats.
‘ye’debuted at No.1 in the US and you’ve probably heard the single ‘Yikes’ on the radio. Other stand out tracks for me are ‘I Thought About Killing You’, ‘All Mine’ and ‘Violent Crimes’. West’s further releases ‘Kids See Ghosts‘ with Kid Cudi and Nas’s ‘Nasir’ are also two records that I really enjoyed, despite the mixed reaction to ‘Nasir’.
