Fontaines D.C. announce new album Skinty Fia and single ‘Jackie Down The Line’

Post-punkers Fontaines D.C. have announced a new album, Skinty Fia. And, as an added bonus, they’ve gone and released a new single too, ‘Jackie Down The Line’.

It seems like only yesterday that Grammy-nominated album A Hero’s Death ensured that Fontaines’ debut Dogrel was no fluke. But music moves fast and the Irish band are showing no signs of slowing down.

Fontaines, whose members are now living in London, have enjoyed a meteoric rise and as a result, generate a fierce amount of excitement when any new music is announced.

New album Skinty Fia was once again produced by Dan Carey. However, it may not pack the same punch as Dogrel or A Hero’s Death as the band have said it’s mellower in tempo. Not that fans will be deterred from gobbling it up, of course, not once they’ve heard new single ‘Jackie Down The Line’.

Listen to ‘Jackie Down The Line’ here and give the music video, directed by Hugh Mulhern, a watch below.

Fontaines D.C. have also announced the tracklist for Skinty Fia.

Skinty Fia tracklist:

  1. In ár gCroíthe go deo
  2. Big Shot
  3. How Cold Love Is
  4. Jackie Down The Line
  5. Bloomsday
  6. Roman Holiday
  7. The Couple Across The Way
  8. Skinty Fia
