Do you like shoegaze? Yes? Then you’re going to love Belfast’s Virgins.
‘Vows’ is the band’s debut single and it ticks all the classic shoegaze boxes. Lead singer Brook-Valentine Lorimer’s vocals are obscured and light, while Michael Smyth’s guitar keeps the listener locked into a fuzzy, distorted dream.
‘Vows’ has been described by the band as “an ethereal warning against being coerced into actions far from your own desires…like being warned in a weightless dream, through a haze of colour and smoke.”
