Former frontman of Dublin alt-rock band The False and the Fair, Tommy Cullen has been steadily releasing a series of well-received solo singles over the past year. His new single, which just came out, is ‘Violet Rainbow’.
‘Violet Rainbow’ boasts anthemic hooks and dynamic funky grooves and, like most of his recent releases, was recorded during a lockdown spent in a tiny house on top of a river. The single’s origins lie in a voice memo captured years ago, emerging now fully formed, expressing the universal desire to shine and giving voice to the many shades of violet that make up our lives.
