South of France is hoping to add a little fun to your Friday with the release of his new single, “Sidewalk”.
If the name South of France rings a bell, it’s probably because his previous single “Comme Ca” was featured in the last season of Netflix’s Bojack Horseman. South of France also performed live on NPR in 2019, and has shared a bill with acts such as The Flaming Lips and Portugal The Man.
Today’s release “Sidewalk” is the latest single from the upcoming debut album Remember That Cool Thing We Did, which is scheduled for release February 26th. “Sidewalk” is a contagiously upbeat track soaked in all that’s fabulous about indie-rock. It’s joyful, full of freedom — good for the heart.
Jeff Cormack, a.k.a South of France, says “Sidewalk” is “…about when someone catches your eye and you like that person’s vibe and you kinda imagine what they’re like, make that story up in your head and run with it.”
Cormack plays all the instruments on the track aside from the drums, which were tracked by his longtime friend and favorite drummer, Nate Barnes.
Check out “Sidewalk” over on Spotify and show South of France some love on Instagram and Facebook.
