Jay Som is an artist I’ve only just picked up on because I’ve seen that she will be supporting The National this summer when they play in Dublin. Other acts playing include Lisa Hannigan, John Grant and Preoccupations, so it’s sure to be a hell of a day! ‘Everybody Works’, Som’s second album, is on Spotify but sadly her debut, ‘Turn Into’, isn’t. I’ll be tracking both down in physical form obviously! Regardless, her second record does more than enough to assure you that she is the real deal. It’s a record full of dazzling dream/bedroom pop gems such as ‘One More Time, Please’ (below), and breezy lyrics. Check out the song and be sure to give ‘Everybody Works‘ a listen!
