TRAMP Pull No Punches on New Single “The Birds (Lowered Suspension)”

TRAMP, the Derry-based therapy-rock band and winners of the ‘BBC Introducing: Artist of the Year Award 2023’ at the NI Music Prize, have dropped a political, playful new single, “The Birds (Lowered Suspension)”.

Expertly balanced in that TRAMP get their message across in a digestible way, “The Birds (Lowered Suspension)” dismantles lad culture with messaging we can all appreciate. Lyrics such as “Birds of a feather cat-call together” work seamlessly beside lines like “Burning rubber/Disgrace your mother/Asking minors for their number” while the music amps everything up perfectly.

This is also TRAMP’s first single from their upcoming debut EP; the bird-cat-dog metaphor, with plenty more satirical commentary set to feature on the EP.

The music video for “The Birds (Lowered Suspension)” was shot by Hot Shoe Productions.
