Drop Nineteens release “Scapa Flow”, the first single from upcoming album Hard Light

(Okay breathe, just relax) Drop Nineteens, the Boston-based shoegaze legends, are back. They have a new single out called “Scapa Flow”. They also have a new album Hard Light coming on November 3rd. (Okay now scream)

The band is perhaps best known for their 1992 album Delaware which is often referred to as a shoegaze classic as it includes “Winona” and “Kick the Tragedy”. They followed Delaware up with National Coma in 1993, toured with the likes of PJ Harvey and Blur, and had Radiohead open for them. But then, in 1995, they disbanded.

Well, three decades since their last release, they’re back and dead set on returning to their signature shoegaze sound. “Scapa Flow” is a reminder of how gifted this band is and gives fans hope for a great album. Check out the new single below.
